Christian Ponder Invited to Be One of The First to Try Google Glass

A lot of people don't know I'm a tech enthusiast who keeps up (and obsesses over) new technology. To say the least, I've been keeping up with Google's latest project, Google Glass.

On Thursday, Christian Ponder was invited to be one of the first people to try out this new technology. Last month, Google told enthusiasts to pitch an idea for what they would do if they had the glasses. Ponder, was among the thousands who pitched an idea to test Google Glass, and he was one of the so far 8,000 people to be invited to test them out.

If you don't already know, Google Glass is a pair of eyeglasses that act and do many functions of smartphone such as take a picture/video, text message, call, show you directions, etc. Here's a video if you want more info:

So Google Glasses are pretty cool. Christian Ponder can't get his hands on them quite yet. For Ponder to get his hands on Google Glass he'll need to pay $1500 and pick them up in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York. It looks worth it though.

Here's the tweet he made to Google Glass:

Google Glass isn't available to just anybody yet. It's expected to be available to the public by 2014, so I bet Christian Ponder is really excited to try them out, and to record the Vikings journey to the super bowl!
